Checking site Compatibility Keeps spinning and won't connect

I am currently running version: Local by Flywheel 2.3.0 (Pre-release) for macOS (just updated 10min ago) it was having this same issue on the previous version too.

I have already tried this fix that was in a previous post.

  • Go to the main Connect to Flywheel page in Local
  • Click on your avatar in the top-right and click the option to sign out
  • Reconnect Local with Flywheel once the button appears
  • Check the site page in Local

Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, but this sounds like a common Local bug we’ve had that has been resolved in our latest release 2.3.2.

Sadly the auto-updater does not pick up this update either for Local, so you’ll want to manually download and update (by overwriting it) from here:
https://local.getflywheel.com/community/t/local-by-flywheel-2-3-2/7130

_note_although I don’t foresee any issues with this process, it is always worthwhile ensuring you have local backups of your sites first.
