What issue or error are you experiencing?

I am trying to migrate my website to Local using WP Migrate and I am unable to do that since I am having this issue “Could not create scandir manifest.”. The migration failed.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @cj_wolfy15 - As a workaround can you create a full site export and then import that into Local instead?

If you need further troubleshooting help you might try connecting with the WP Migrate directly. To request their support, visit the Help tab inside the plugin. You can also find the support email address by logging into My Account. Sign In

Hi @Nick-B, thank you for the suggestion, we’ll try that one.

To explain further the situation we are having. I successfully installed LocalWP (latest) on Linux Mint 22.1 (latest). No problem so far, except for the dependency issues but we passed it through.

After installing WordPress, no problem there, installed WP Migrate and activated the license, so we are now on WP Migrate Pro. What we did is we use the Pull feature on WP Migrate to migrate the site to my LocalWP. We successfully migrated the Database, no issue there, and then when we are about to migrate the Media, Theme and Plugins, the issue happens, it shows “Could not create scandir manifest.”. Questions:

  • Could it be because I am using Linux Mint?
  • My LocalWP files are in my Home directory user/Local Sites, do I need to add or edit a permission on the file directory?

This issue has been fixed now. The problem is with WP Migrate. There’s an issue regarding there server (cloudways) and plugins. After submitting the issue to them, the migration works fine.

Thank you.
