Development workflow for plugin creations?

Hi, sorry for the noob question but I´m 0 days old in Wordpress development and I want to start off on the right foot.

Can you (and should you) do plugin development (not just plugins for Local) in Local WP? And if so where can I find information about it?

That was the main question but I´m also looking for information on

  • Source control (github?)
  • CI/CD (build/test/deploy)
  • Best practice
  • Scaffolding code to start correctly (use this wp scaffold?)
  • Other information that can shave of time by beginning this correctly

We don’t have any documentation on specifically building a plugin within Local. If you’re new to WordPress and want to start building a plugin you could try here first:

wpebeginner.com in general has tons of other great articles and documentation related to WordPress as you continue on your journey.

Of course we’d love for you to get comfortable with Local as well, so if you have any other specific product questions or needs down the road let us know!
