ERROR 1146 when importing a site

Issue Summary Unable to successfully import backup of Wordpress site to Local. I created a zip archive with 1.) a mysqldump of my website’s database (backup.sql) and 2.) a copy of the wp-contents folder. It proceeds successfully with “adding Wordpress” step, but then fails at the “Importing Database: backup.sql” step. Here is the exact error message: Uh-oh! Unable to import site. Import Error 1146: Command Failed

I am trying to import a site downloaded from CPanel but am receiving a Command Failed error. Any help fixing this explained in simple terms would be greatly appreciated. [error]

Which are somewhat unanswered.

And I have no idea what this means: You’ll probably need to manually inspect the sql file that’s contained within the backup and see if it contains the necessary SQL to create that options table.

Troubleshooting Questions

• Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
  Just this one so far.

• Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through.
