Error message when installing local-by-flywheel 2.0.8 software

Can anyone tell me why I get the error message, “dial-http tcp 127.0.0.1: 50580: read tcp 127.0.0.1:50581 -> 127.0.0.1:50580: wsarecv: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.” when I am installing the software? The virtual box portion installs without incident but when it gets to the host machine section, the error shows up. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the software without success. Thank you.

i have the same problem when installing host, also tried to restart and also to uninstall. nothing works.
dial-http tcp 127.0.0.1-49255: read tcp 127.0.0.149256->127.0.0.1-49255: wsarecv: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Hi Ben ,

Are you trying to install 2.0.8 still?
The latest version is 2.1.2 stable or 2.2.1 as pre release.
Can you try with one of these?

Iv’e downloaded the 2.1.2.

tried everything, uninstalled few apps, no change.
