Exif Module error / Need to configure PHP with Exif

Hello Local Community!

First off, this is my first post and I absolutely love Flywheel and Local!! It has completely changed the way that I was editing websites…

That being said, I was coming across a problem that I was wondering if someone here knew how to fix. I need to enable exif-support by configuring PHP with the --enable-exif flag (http://php.net/manual/en/exif.installation.php).

Does someone know how to do that? I have some sys admin knowledge and experience, and I know enough on how to get into the container of the particular Local app, but I’ve never configured (or re-configured for that matter) PHP, and I don’t know where to go in the docker container (linux distro, whatever) to re-configure it.

Hi Will,

Just letting you know that there is a workaround to get exif working by SSH’ing into the server from the Local application and getting the Exif module configured and installed.
