Extremely Slow Performance on Windows 10

Hi All,

I am running Local on Windows 10 (15063.483) and I am experiencing extremely slow server speeds both when viewing a WordPress site and when in the WP admin screen. At this point it is faster for me to build a site on a remote server than it is on Local itself. I’ve restarted local multiple times as well as my machine and the performance is still very poor, even on freshly spun up projects without plugins, etc.

It appears that I am up todate with the latest version of local but can’t seem to find a quick way to verify. Any thoughts or work arounds for this issue? I’ve used Local on macOS and its great but on Windows it is really starting to have an impact on my productivity. Thanks!

Hi @erwstout,

We’re putting the finishing touches on Local 2.0.7 for Windows. It addresses the speed issues on Windows and it’ll be available sooner than later :slight_smile:

Hi,
I’m getting the same issues and hope you will release a new update very fast.
2-3 seconds to display a page (admin or front) is a bit too much for a local session ;).
Anyway Local is a very nice and easy tool. Thank you for that.

I am running the latest version of Local and Windows 10, and the Local server is VERY SLOW.
Any updates on this issue??
