FATAL ERROR: Live Link broke my Astra Theme

Issue Summary

I built a staging site using the Astra theme and it broke when I enabled live links. I could not access the backend or front end and got these PHP error including a fatal error:

I manually switched to another theme so I can at least enter the site again but I can not activate Astra again. I tried it with a theme backup and even when I add a completely new version of Astra everything breaks again.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • I read about this problem in particular with Astra. Is there a way to restore my theme?

  • Is this error just happening when using local? If that is the case, I would try to upload my backup to a server.

Replication

It happened immediately when I enabled the live link. Afterward, I couldn’t access my site.

System Details

  • Local 6.3.0

  • I am using a Macbook Air M1 running macOS Monterey 12.01
