I routinely setup Local sites as SSL since all of my live client sites get deployed as https and for the e-commerce ones, it avoids plugins warning me that the dev site is not SSL protected.
in 5.66 all of these sites now launch as non-SSL sites. Redirects fail. This coincided with the launch of Pro. Is this intended behavior?

Certificates are still generated for all Local sites and we have no plans of moving it to Pro.
If HTTPS isn’t working, be sure that you’re using the “Site Domains” Router Mode and not the “localhost” Router Mode. See https://localwp.com/help-docs/router-mode/ for more details.
