How do you access dev-email@wpengine.local within local?

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Hi one of the activated plugin sent an email automatically to my local wp email address which is ‘dev-email@wpengine.local’, under tool tab, there’s no Mailhog or any equivalence available, how do I access the admin email or how do I set up one in order to view the email under such circumstances?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

a little update, I see there is a tool called mailpit in local tool tab (I thought I should look into admin panel instead), but obviously mailpit seems to have a different address because I see no activation emails in it, I fiddle around a bit but couldn’t figure out what is the mailpit’s email address.

When Mailhog is not available what you can do is, you can set up a local mail server or use a plugin like WP Mail Logging to view emails sent to 'dev-email@wpengine.local. Try sending a test mail to this. I hope it helps.

Hi @wgan! Those emails should be captured by Mailpit. What is your Local version and OS/OS version?
