I cant launch local

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I cant run the local exe. It opens three background instances of local every time I try and run it. It never actually completes launching but it is technically running.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I’m running windows 10 pro
Intel(R) Core™ i5-3437U CPU @ 1.90GHz 2.40 GHz
8gb ram
I have more than enough available storage space
I’ve tried shutting down all non windows processes and start ups. Basically, I ran a clean boot. Tried scanning for malware. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Tried different versions.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Right so I looked through the similar topics recommendation and found one which specifically addresses this issue with windows 10 pro. Oh well, guess I’m updating to tiny 11. Good to know.

@GoranZunic

Were you able to get things working or are you still having issues?

I was able to update my laptop OS to windows 11 and haven’t had a problem since. Although I have to thank you anyway since in the time from this reply I’ve been reading and your responses to other people. They have taught me a lot about how localwp works/how I should interact with it.

It is about your Windows username, go to "c:\users".
They have issues with special characters and space.

Find options to change username on Windows or make new one.
