Hi @Pico

We would be happy to assist with your Local troubleshooting! Could you provide some more details to help us take a further look?

  • What is your OS?

  • What version of Local are you on?

  • Please attach a copy of your Local Logs

Could you also include any screenshots or steps to replicate what you’re seeing? A short video using something like Loom or similar might also be good.

Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!

my operating system is Windows 10, and my current local version is 9.2.8 and I attach a video of what happens

Thank you for that @Pico - It’s possible Local got flagged by some security. We have a Windows Troubleshooting guide below that goes over some common items worth checking. For example, make sure you’re running Local as an admin user, that you don’t have any security blockers, and that Local has access to update your Hosts file.

ok check the guide and if there is an advance or solution I will check it out by this means

hello I came back from seeing the guide and doing all the steps and it did not work for me, this one I already did everything he asked for with all the permissions but I still do not understand why I will not open the window, I have to say also that I installed local on my other computer and it has the same error and it already has me asking questions through the skies

Is your other device utilizing Windows 10 as well @Pico?

When you did your uninstall/reinstall did you follow the Windows steps here?

If it’s also Windows 10 and if I followed the steps, which seems strange to me

Can you share your full Local Logs here so we can take a look?

Retrieving Local’s Log File

I would send it to you but the problem that I will not have local to download it as such

You should still be able to locate it manually @Pico - there are some instructions in that link above.

The most likely culprits here are usually going to be some kind of security/firewall/anti-virus, a competing developer applications, or other permissions/admin issue. If you’ve double checked all of those items, we can take a look in the log and see if anything else stands out.
