What issue or error are you experiencing?

impossible to instal Local program (not me but one of my Wordpress students)
See attachment (concerns Mysql)
I know that first she made a mistake when mentionning login: she used the login used on Wordpress.com, but after that I asked her to remove local and to reinstal another time

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @corinnev - The issue is a known bug around special characters in their username. More details on this are in our Windows Troubleshooting Guide here, but the easiest solution will be creating a new user without any characters.
