Install LocalWP 9.1.0 on Ubuntu 24.04

Good evening friends of the LocalWP community.

I recently installed Ubuntu because I want to try this operating system but unfortunately I’m having problems installing LocalWP.

Once I download the .deb package I can’t install it. I open the .deb in the App Center and click on Install, it asks me for the Password but then nothing happens.

Unfortunately it’s a frustrating situation especially for those like me who are beginners.

Can you help me please?

LocalWP is version 9.1.0 (the latest available at the moment) instead Ubuntu is version 24.04

Hi guys,

Searching the forum I found this topic and solved it. I hope that in the future this problem will be fixed and that the installation will be on Ubuntu.

Thanks for the update here @GiuseppeM! Glad the community was able to help :slight_smile:

We do plan to have this covered in a future release but for now the workaround is required.
