I accidentally pushed my local DB to production because the push/pull settings remember the last things you did. I had to frantically do a restore on WP Engine. But myself was non-functional for around 20 minutes.
I NEVER want to push my DB, but I tend to pull my DB often. Is there a way to have preset settings for PUSH and PULL separately?

Hi @findlapel
There isn’t a way to do this currently but we’ve seen a couple of related feature requests in the past here if you want to vote, comment and follow!
Issue Summary
We would like the option to disable the push/pull buttons. We have a git and CI/CD setup and do not want contributors to be able to use this feature since it really messes with our source control and deployment processes.
Preferably configurable at the WPEngine / Flywheel API level, would like to be able to disable PUSH for specified sites.
Alternately it would be good if I could at least disable the push button in local itself on a site specific basis.
Reasoning: want to be able to push / pull development and staging freely, and also pull from production freely, but don’t want to accidentally update anything directly to production using local because I clicked wrong button while tired.
related to Disable push…
As always it’s a great idea to backup your work in Local and hosting as frequently as changes are made.
