Issues installing on MBP High Sierra

I have been trying to install Local 2.1.1 on my MBP, but I keep running into the same issue. First it bombs on the setting up the host machine and tells me to try VB 5.0.12. I go ahead and un-install VB and reinstall VB 5.0.12 and it never is successful due to an error during installation.

I have tried uninstalling everything and restarting my machine, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?
