Local and Docker Desktop on Mac with SSL

,

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I installed local on Mac with Silicon and the localhost Routing Mode works well. On the same Mac, I have a Docker Desktop with an SSL site working that I need to refer to running on port 80/443. Per the help docs, local listens on port 80, and recommended way is to kill whatever else is on port 80. Is there any way to change the port local listens to so that Local can run on SSL?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @nknov12

The short answer is there isn’t a way to change the port that I’m aware of. If you utilize Site Domains for your Router Mode you should be able to utilize SSL but the site will need Port 80 open. So you’ll have to disable Docker Desktop at least temporarily if the apps are conflicting.
