Local app is too big (800MB)

I use a 128GB SSD for the system and applications. The operating system warned me that I was running out of disk. When I checked the Applications folder (on Mac) I discovered that Local occupies about 800MB. I do not understand programming but it seems too much considering that WordPress installations store them in another disk.

Would not it be possible to make it lighter?
