Hi there,
Is it possible to start Local as a service on Windows Server 2012? If yes, how?
There’s currently no way to run Local as a Windows service.
Thank you for your feedback.
Is this feature in your roadmap? If so, when?
It’s not something that’s on our roadmap, but I moved this topic from the “Workflow” category to the “Feature Request” category so that it can be upvoted.
This may be ignorance on my part, but I’m not familiar with what running a Windows application as a service does for you as a developer. Can you describe in a little more detail what running Local as a service allows you to do that it’s not doing currently?
Additionally, you mention that this would be something for Windows Server 2012. At 9 years old, that’s pretty ancient in computing. I see that mainstream support has ended and extended support is only through 2023 (according to Wikipedia):
Do you know if the way applications run as a “windows service” is the same on newer versions of Windows Server?
