Local by Flywheel - Auto updater issue(?)

Hi,

I’m using version 2.2.1 on Windows 10. It seems I can’t update to last version (2.2.3) I see no errors.

Anyone who encountered this issue?

Lucian,

Can you please provide the local-by-flywheel.log file?

In the meantime, I recommend upgrading manually since 2.2.1 is a pre-release. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the latest Release (2.2.3 at the time of writing)
  2. Download and run the Windows setup. This will automatically upgrade Local.

Once the setup runs, you should be good to go :slight_smile:

Hi Clay. I’ll follow the recommendation. Thanks.

Here is the log file - local-by-flywheel.log (80.4 KB)

Will it be an issue if I’ll update Local and then Virtual Box to the newest version? I currently have Virtual Box version 5.1.30 r118389 (Qt5.6.2) and I will update to the next/last one - 5.2.6
Or is it better to first update Virtual Box and then Local?

It will be also great to know if there’s a certain order of updating Local and Virtual Box for future (references).

Thanks again,
Lucian

@lucianpascu,

You can upgrade Local and VirtualBox in any order. If Local needs a particular version, it will prompt you to upgrade.
