I few weeks ago I stumbled on a post in this community that a new version of Local is under development - an app which won’t be dependent on VirtualBox.
I can’t find this post now 
Can someone point me to it or share more info about this project.
I stopped using Local because of its inconsistent working - if I manage to launch it (without being stuck on the “Checking system…” issue), then the local server often stops in the middle of my work and the sites cannot be loaded.
The connection between Local and VirtualBox is unstable for whatever reason (most probably security apps blocking it or something else)
So, I’ll be reverting back to DesktopServer and will be waiting for the new server app
