Local doesn't keep me logged in, every time I restart the app

Bug Summary

I can log in to Local successfully, but every time I close the app and reopen it, I’m not logged in.

What I noticed is when I log in these files are created in C:\Users***\AppData\Roaming\Local

  • profiles-hub.json
  • hub-api.json

When I close the app, the two files are still there.
When I open the app the two files are deleted.

The same bug happened to other people:

Steps to reproduce

  • Log in to Local using the top left menu
  • Log in is successful
  • Close the desktop app
  • Open the desktop app
  • I’m not logged in

Environment Info

  • Microsoft Windows 11 Version 23H2 (build SO 22631.2506)
  • Local Version 8.1.0+6514
  • The app is installed selecting the option “Only for me”, so it’s in C:\Users***\AppData\Roaming\Local

I wonder if this is to make sure people don’t abuse the live link feature (which you have to be logged in for)? Maybe?

Interestingly I can’t replicate this on Mac. I tried a couple of times but I always stay signed in :thinking:

I will share this with our Devs though and see if we can figure anything out here. Thank you for your patience and involvement here in the forums!

This is fixed for me after updating to version 8.2.0+6554.
