Hi, I’m creating a new .local site from wpmigrate.
The .local always redirects to the live site. I have changed the url in the Db, checked every entry/file I could find but the entries in the database are always changed back to the live site entries.
I have disabled ALL plugins, cleared all caches but no change.
I have uploaded an updraft backup, but same story…
I’m wondering if there could be some cached redirects in your browser or network cache. Have you tried clearing those out?
You may need to try clearing the cache and cookies on your browser and then closing your active sessions to start with a clean slate. You could also try utilizing a different browser (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer if you’re using Chrome for example) or an Incognito window to troubleshoot further.
There are some different things to try and get around network caching. Restarting your device, restarting the network router/modem, using a VPN connection, or adding a cache-breaking path to the end of the site that’s cached. Adding /? followed by any 4 random characters (/?1234 for example) will sometimes break the cache as well.
You could also try changing your Router Mode as well to see if that helps to interrupt the behavior. Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode>Localhost
