Mailpit issues with M4 macOS, Local 9.2.8+6882

What issue or error are you experiencing?

A few of my sites have/had the error: “Missing mailpit vXXXX…” , upon opening the site.
Then when the site opens and you try and open Mailpit nothing happens.

Some were missing Mailpit 1.24.1 - I followed steps provided in another thread and it fixed the issue.
But some of my sites are missing Mailpit 1.12. and I tried following the same steps of going to lightning-services folder, shutting down Local, deleting the 1.12 folder, and then reopening Local but it doesn’t seem to recreate the 1.12. folder.

Does the error show up on newly created sites? If not, you might want to try reimporting the sites that are showing it.

The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local/your machine
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files
