WP - How to resolve missing Mailpit v1.12?

I get this error message when logging into site to work on it: “Missing Mailpit v1.12 Don’t worry. We’ll reinstall it next time you start your site.”

This error message appeared months ago (long before installing Sequoia). The message says Mailpit will be reinstalled automatically, but that hasn’t happened. I keep getting the same error message.

System Details

  • Local Version:. 9.0.5+6706

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: MacOS 15.0 (Sequoia)

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
