PHP.exe crashes changing php version. Always reproducible.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    All sites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    Yes

Replication

Just switch PHP version, e.g. from default 7.3.5 to 7.4.1 from Overview page setting.
Probably the task is abruptly quitted causing a Windows error report also in Windows Reliability Monitor with multiple php.exe crashes, e.g.:
