PHP version for upload

I’m trying to launch a website developed on Local, but when trying to upload it, I get this message:

“Connect to Flywheel does not support: Preferred with PHP 5.6”

I’m currently using PHP version 5.6.20 – what version should I use to connect? How do I change my PHP version?

Hi Andy,

Right now the best way to do that is to:

  1. Right-click on the site running Preferred with PHP 5.6 in Local’s sidebar
  2. Go to “Export” and go through that process
  3. Re-import the site by dragging and dropping the resulting archive from step #2 on Local’s main window. When going through the import process, select Preferred and you should see that it will use PHP 7.1.
