Setting up the new lightening in linux mint or ubuntu

Hi,

Are there any directions on how to set this up in a linux mint or ubuntu environment after download?

I installed it on my linux mint system but don’t see it in the menu.

Hi Tajeshwar,

Did you install it with dkpg -i or with a simple double-click? If it was the latter, I’m curious if it didn’t install correctly.

Installing it with dpkg in Terminal may provide more insight into what’s going on.

Hi Clay,

I installed it via double clicking and it doesn’t show in the menu. I’m new to linux so I will do some research on installing via dpkg and let you know the results.

Okay I did this and now I could find it in the menu:

sudo dpkg -i ~/Downloads/local-5-0-6-linux.deb
sudo apt-get install -f
