Everything looks great on my end, but when I click on the Live Link there are formatting issues on the Blog page and there are two menus. I have ruled out browser caching issues.
Troubleshooting Questions
Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
This is currently the only site I have in Local.
Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
Yes.
Replication
Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!
System Details
Which version of Local is being used?
Version 6.4.2+6012
What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional
macOS Monterey Version 12.5.1
Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
Hey @gesa – I moved your reply to its own topic since the previous topic was specific to Oxygen builder. The general solution is the same as this other topic related to Divi: In the case of Elementor, you want to adjust Elementor to not write the CSS background-image rules to a file. For Elementor, you’ll need to change the “CSS Print Method” (see the Elementor docs)
Let me know if anything in there helps, we’ll get this figured out!
So some updates: according to the Elementor tech I spoke with, the CSS Loading Elementor experimental feature is incompatible with Local. Once that was toggled off, the normal steps that correct for these kind of discrepancies (regenerating the CSS and data followed by using the W3 Total Cache plugin to clear all caches) fixed all the layout issues I was having except one. There are four images on the Landing page that are still too big on the Live Link version of the site. Here’s a loom link where I go back and forth between the local page and the Live Link page so you can see what I’m talking about: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom
