I was leaving my docker images running, which is lazy on my part.
However, I think some sort of resource manager would be incredibly helpful. My Macbook was running incredibly slowly and popping open Activity Monitor revealed that VBoxHeadless was consuming 140% CPU.
My fans were going nuts and it took me ages to figure out the problem. Shutting down some of the sites solved the problem. I was “only” running 5 sites.
So - I think some sort of visual/numeric indicator in Local would be very helpful. Perhaps, you should even get a warning over resource usage if you try to spin up too many sites (an alert for example).
Otherwise people could be nerfing their Macbooks causing themselves similar problems. Local almost suffers from being too easy and I fear for people not knowing what’s going on and causing themselves hardware problems.
