Thanks a lot.

Hi @Joser,

Sorry for the trouble!

Can you please try the following?

  1. Quit Local if it’s open
  2. Open VirtualBox. You can find it by using Spotlight on your Mac.
  3. Go to VirtualBox » Preferences…
  4. Go to Network
  5. Go to Host-only Networks and delete any Host-only networks that exist (Docker/Vagrant/etc will automatically recreate them)
  6. Re-open Local

Hi Clay, I have deleted my virtualbox and flywheel and I started from zero and when I am stalling this again I have the same error.

Honestly I am working with Desktop Server because I can not work in a stable way with your tool, this is not the first time that I have a problem with the tool and I have to develop in local environment.

I think that Local by Flywheel has a lot to improve, you only has to take a look at the support web and you see that there are a lot of problems from different people.

Please continue working in the tool and may be a year later I will test your tool again, but in the 2018 I will work with Desktop Server for my projects.

Regards.

Hi Clay

I am also having this problem on MacOS 10.13.1

In the instructions above - if I right click on local-by-flywheel in VirtualBox and go to “Settings…” then I can’t actually access the preferences.

On my laptop which is using MacOS10.12.6 Local is working just fine.

Cheers
Meg

Hi @kiwimeg,

Sorry about that! I had an additional step in there that shouldn’t have been.

Go to VirtualBox » Preferences. There’s no need to right-click on local-by-flywheel in this situation.

@Joser,

Deleting VirtualBox on a Mac will not uninstall it completely.

If you follow my steps above it should resolve the issue.

Hi Clay, thanks for clarifying … however, when I go to the Preferences >> Network option, there are no host only networks showing in the list.

Cheers
Meg
