Terminating VBoxHeadless process

Activity Monitor shows it using 1GB memory, so I’d like to terminate it when I quit Local by Flywheel. Is that safe to do, or does it have to be running prior to launching Local?

If you shut down all of the sites (and let them finish shutting down) then quit Local, Local will automatically shut down the virtual machine and free up that RAM.

I discourage killing the process since it might corrupt some data like MySQL. If anything you can go into VirtualBox, right-click on the Local by Flywheel (or Pressmatic) VM and then go to Close » ACPI Shutdown.

Thanks, I didn’t I realize I had to press the Stop All button before quitting Local.
