I was able to find a workaround. Looks like the files were pulling, I just couldn’t open/view in Local.
If you right click on the site, you can work from there. You can Export the site, then reimport as a new site. I was then able to view the site as normal. I had some issues pushing at first, but all seems to be working now (through the workaround, not as it’s supposed to)
That’s definitely interesting and I’m glad you were able to get a workaround!
@jackiec and @schmidty54 – Can you please provide your Local Log so that I can take a closer look at what might be going on? See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:
I put a ticket in and I believe Product is already looking into it. This is what I got from the Flywheel team earlier, that worked for me:
“I’ve encountered this bug myself last week and escalated this to the product team. The issue here is that when you try to pull a site, the drop-down is blank and Local lets you pull even if nothing is selected. Please select there Production from it and try to pull again”
I think we don’t need the logs at this time, but if you do run into more issues, having the Local log does allow us to quickly see what was happening within Local at the time that things went wrong.
You can get the Local Log by following the instructions in this forum post and attaching the log to a reply here in the forum:
I’m also running into this issue when pulling a site for the first time in the latest version on Windows.
Is there a place to download a legacy version of local in the meantime?
Found out what was causing the error for me. When pulling a site, the ‘Select Environment’ drop down can be left as blank, which causes it to break. When i deleted the site, and noticed the environment was set to blank, I changed it to ‘Production’, and it was worked just fine!
Thanks for zeroing in on what the issue was! The Local team is currently working on a fix for this sort of bug, but I’m glad you were able to figure it out!
