Unable to create new site on mac

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I am trying to create a new website inside Local and keep getting this error:
Error installing WordPress for “sitename”. Error is shown below. I tried to update/install Rosetta per some other similar threads, but apparently, Rosetta only installs on a Mac chip (M1, M2, or M3). If I close and restart Local, the site looks normal, but I get a 502 Bad Gateway if I try to go to the admin site.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

The issue here is your MacOS version. We’re going to be raising the minimum required version to 12 or higher since anything older is technically past end of life: Apple macOS | endoflife.date

If you’re unable to update your MacOS you’ll have to try some workarounds. You can always download an older version of Local more compatible with your OS from our releases page here:

Or you can try using an older version of PHP when creating a site to see if that works as well.
