Unable to Install any plugins

What issue or error are you experiencing?

‘Installation failed: Download failed. cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate is not yet valid’.
This is the message is being shown to me when I’m trying to download any plugins from wordpress.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc


System Details

  • Local Version: 9.2.4

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: Windows 10 pro, 22H2.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate is not yet valid.

This can happen if your system believes the SSL certificate’s “valid from” date is in the future, for example if your system clock is incorrect (i.e. set to a date in the past).

Please could you check that your Windows system clock is accurate and try again?
