What issue or error are you experiencing?

I saw there were two versions of Local installed on my Win 10 Pro machine, tried to uninstall older version, but it appeared to uninstall the entire application! Reinstalled latest version, but now my saved sites no longer open. Getting an error that says “Unable to start site.” and it refers to a MySQL failure, See attached screenshot.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

See above screenshot for the error. Same for another saved site. But one, which was jsut started and never used, functions properly.

I tried to create a new site and that functioned perfectly. I tried to back up my site from the desktop and that did not work at all.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

In a new twist, another of my old sites is working fine now. So, naturally, it is only the important one, ya know my main site, that is not working and throwing the errors, 'natch.

Hi @sirlou

How did you try to back up the site from your desktop? Did you try reimporting a zip of the content and database or do a manual import?

If spinning up a new, blank site works then you could import your site over top of it with the manual steps here: Manually Import a Local Site

Hi Nick, I did not try the method you suggested via that link. I will try that now and see if that works and report back, thanks!
