Update MariaDB version?

What are the steps to update MariaDB to a newer version? You used to be able to update it the same way as the webserver and php, but no dropdown appears for the database.

Just updated the to the release version of 9.2.9. No option to update MariaDB was added.

It should automatically be updated to 10.6.23 for new sites. If you want to update a previous site you may need to reimport it.

The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files
