What are if any large import restrictions?

What issue or error are you experiencing?

None at the moment, hoping to avoid :grinning:

Before doing so I have almost 10,000 SKUs that I will need to import into my local dev environment’s WooCommerce store. Should I be worried that it can’t handle that size? Are there any limitations in relation to size etc?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @DCK

I don’t believe we have any hard-coded limitations with Local. People can and do import and export very large installs and databases; however, sometimes this can still take quite some time and patience. I have seen issues with very large imports and databases timing out and needing to be broken up or other manual intervention.

As long as your physical device has enough storage space and bandwidth to tackle the task, Local should be up for it as well.

You can always adjust PHP settings as needed manually if the values are an issue (bottom of this help doc: Troubleshoot: Performance Issues - Local

If the time comes where you need to move the site, it will likely need to be moved manually or with a migration plugin and strong connection.
