What the green circle number for?

I’m using Local on Ubuntu. I noticed the icon in the start menu shows a green circle with a number in it. I have no idea what that number is for. Can you clarify?

Hi @josf

Can you share a screenshot of this?

No. Sorry. Technically not possible. I explained it as clear as I could. I can add to it:
the green circle is in the right top hand corner of the desktop icon.

This sounds like Ubuntu’s notification system. (Local uses system notifications for various features.)

Ubuntu’s docs say you can view the notification list by clicking the clock or using Super + V:

Thanks folks, for the assist. Yes, it’s an update icon for Ubuntu. Strangely enough it shows up only on the Flywheel icon. Nowhere else.

Nothing to worry about, but that’s what I know now.

Thank you for the update @josf, glad it’s nothing serious :sunglasses:
