When will the TRUST glitch be resolved?

I’ve seen this issue thru every 5.x release and it was not an issue in versions 3x

the TRUST reminder does not go away after I click to TRUST it at the top - and even if I click TRUST under the SSL tab and it checkmarks, if I scroll to other sites and come back to it, it will have reverted to indicate that it is not trusted.
“Heads-up! Your site is using HTTPS but the Local SSL certificate isn’t trusted.”
@clay is this by design? Is there anything I can do to make the trusted status latch once and for all?
