Why is Local Installing Malware on My Computer?

Issue Summary

My anti-virus is flagging a Local file as ransomware.

Sophos (my anti-virus) is flagging PHP-FPM as malware. Why is that, and what does the file do?

I have the same issue on Windows . It deleted a lot of my files!!

Local is not installing any malware on your computer however some security and firewall applications or settings can come into conflict which we see from time to time (usually on Windows).

@scarecrow202 Local should not be deleting anything from your computer, but it could be running into port conflicts with security features or other applications. You can check here for further troubleshooting: What is Router Mode? - Local
