What issue or error are you experiencing?
Hi everyone,
I’m running into an issue with my Local WP setup. I pulled my site from the live server into Local WP, and everything was working fine at first. After logging in locally, I updated some Wordfence configuration settings (since the domain had changed).
Right after that, I started getting this error when trying to access the site:
403 Forbidden
nginx/1.26.1
On Apache servers, I’d usually fix this by replacing the .htaccess file, but since Local WP uses Nginx, I’m not sure what the equivalent fix would be or how to recover from this.
Has anyone run into this before or know how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance!
What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc
Pull a live site to local which have wordfence enabled and resave the wordfence config after you host it on local

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
