403 Forbidden on new download

Issue Summary

I have been working successfully with our site on local, but with the pull last night (incremental) and this morning (deleted old site, did new pull), I’m getting a 403 error. I know it says something about permissions, but this is WINDOWS not linux and I gave EVERYONE full permission to the entire directory tree. What am I missing?

Troubleshooting Questions

Our one site from WPEngine to local.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    No. When I try to create a testlocal site, I get a 404 when I try to open it.

What happened? Local was running fine two days ago!

Replication

Delete old site and rename the original directory.
Download site from WPEngine. Two hours later try to run Wordpress site from local. 403 error!

Create a new test site.
Try to open it.
404 error

System Details

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    Windows Server 2012

  • Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:
    local-lightning.log (438.1 KB)

OK. So I updated Local to the latest version 6.7.2xxxx and now it’s working again (did not re-download the site from WPEngine). Go figure.
