Issue Summary
When attempting to run a site that I just pulled from WPEngine I get a 403 or 404 error. Running this site under localhost routing mode worked on my old machine. It doesn’t work under either routing mode on my new machine.
When clicking the Open Site button: 403 Forbidden nginx/1.16.0
When clicking the wp-admin button: 404 Not Found nginx/1.16.0
Troubleshooting Questions
- Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
I tried downloading/connecting a second site from WPEngine and the same errors reproduced.
- Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
Yes, this works without a problem.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
