404 error sometimes

Hi, when I first go to my site on live link it will show, no problem. If I navigate away and go back later I get a 404. On any device I try and connect to it. It seems to only allow me to go there once before I get a 404. I thought it was because my laptop (where I develop) went to sleep so I stopped that and only have the screen go off
I did notice that my browser goes to HTTPS when Local says it doesn’t support that.
Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance
Mark

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @mccoates

You might check out our troubleshooting steps here. Specifically for HTTPS you’ll want to make sure your SSL is trusted in Local, and then you might also need to run a S/R to make sure all of the links are going to HTTPS, and maybe even go further by flushing plugin/theme cache and resaving permalinks.

Live Links can be a little temperamental since they aren’t meant to be permanent. If your laptop goes to sleep, shuts down, etc it can interrupt your connection as well. So if you’re hoping to access the site from different devices at later times, it might be better to set up a demo environment somewhere you can migrate to.

Ok, Thanks. I’ll look at the Live Link tutorial.
Not to be stupid, but what is running an S/R?
