Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @vismay – Welcome to the forums!

I tried to replicate and was able to see an example .iso in within the resulting zip file.

Do you have a little more detail about how the export is created? For example:

  • Where is the iso contained within the site?
  • How are you exporting the site?
  • If exporting using Local, did you verify that .iso files are not being excluded?

I get exported file through wp-admin.

Hi @vismay! Once the site is started you can use Local’s native export feature by clicking the site name on the lefthand side and selecting it from the dropdown options. More on this in our guide here:

A free plugin like WP Migrate Lite will also work for creating full or partial size exports.
