All in One WordPress Migration won't work with Local by Flywheel

Using All in One WordPress Migration I created a backup of my live website.
I downloaded and activated Local.
BUT… when I try to import my backup using All in One WordPress Migration I get an error, ’ Invalid File Permissions’.
It goes on to explain that All-in-One WP Migration plugin needs proper file and folder permissions to work. It needs properly set permissions to create folders ‘ai1wm-backups’ and ‘storage’ in specific paths:

/wordpress/wp-content/ai1wm-backups
/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage

BUT… Local doesn’t create ‘wordpress’ paths.

It creates wp-content in the path
mysite\app\public\wp-content

So… it seems that All in One WordPress Migration will never work with Local.

Is there a utility that WILL import a ‘live’ site into Local?

Thanks - Don

I just wanted to let you know, I don’t know why it’s not working for you because I use AIOWM all the time on my local, it’s my go-to way of importing a site that wasn’t hosted on Flywheel.

So it’s not a problem with the plugin, maybe the site you’re trying to import was set to be in a /wordpress/ folder, which is not the norm?

Thanks, the error message I got was generated by Local, here’s the link…

(I did put incorrect path slashes in my posting) But - originally I downloaded Local to my PC without altering any of the settings - except XAMPP as custom rather than whatever it was that Local was 'Preferring'. I've deleted everything and I'm going to start from scratch again. Best wishes, Don

Hi, I have The same problem…It seems to be only with the Unlimited Extension.
When I used The free version all went well.

I’m looking for alternatives as well.
If anyone has any suggestions that would be very welcome! Thank you
