Background image is not displaying

The background image is not displaying when i publish my sites on other devices (phone, tablet). Were as I checked the size and extension, all looks fine for me. I work on OS and windows. Can you pls help?

Are you by chance using a page builder like Elementor or Divi?

Sometimes there are issues with images and the way things display generally over Live Links with Elementor and other similar builders.

Hey @gesa – I moved your reply to its own topic since the previous topic was specific to Oxygen builder. The general solution is the same as this other topic related to Divi: In the case of Elementor, you want to adjust Elementor to not write the CSS background-image rules to a file. For Elementor, you’ll need to change the “CSS Print Method” (see the Elementor docs)

Let me know if that’s the case.

Otherwise, my next question would be regarding SSL - is the site running over https:// and the media files are http://? That would be a mixed content issue and cause images to not display.

Hi @sambrockway

Yes, I use Elementor with OceanWP. I ve checked the CSS Print method, changed it and the site would not open anymore. I went back on Elementor, put back the CSS print method where it was originaly (set on external file), closed every thing, re-opened, went back on my other Devices ( PC and tablet) and magic, it worked !! Many thanks for your help Sam.
