I’m trying to install All-in-one WP Migration on a new wp site in Local and I get this error anytime I try
Installation failed: Download failed. cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received
Any ideas as to what’s causing this?
Lousy internet connection or issues at the site hosting the plugin.
I have a great connection and I get the same error from all plugins
It might be your connection to wordpress.org
The error is a timeout. It seems for at least 10 seconds nothing is connecting to download.
It might be a local firewall related issue too.
It turned out to be Chrome blocking the request because the requests are HTTP and not HTTPS! Changed to Firefox and it’s installing fine now.
Glad you got it sorted out. Sometimes issues such as these are multifaceted.
