Can't load a really big wordpress site

it start’s but after a coulpe of thousands of files it stops.
i have the files and the DB inside a zip file but it’s not working…
any ideas?

We have a help article with some suggestions here that might help:

Large sites and Local

To go a little deeper, what is contributing the most to the site’s size? If the site has things like lots of images, video or audio files, these should probably be offloaded anyways because once the site is live they will only hinder it’s performance. We recommend WP Offload Media

If the site is full of things like backup folders, these should also be offloaded to external storage like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Hi @Dex You could attempt a more manual import. The steps would look like this: Unzip the file in a common location, like the desktop Create a new, blank site in Local. Use whatever username/password you like since you’ll overwrite the DB with this site archive’s dump. Copy the wp-content folder from the unzipped location to this newly created site’s location Copy the correct SQL dump to the site root.
